My Experience in This Summer!

This summer ( August only...), I joined the volunteer "Cub Scouts" in Takaraduka. The children who go to an elementary school can take part in it, so it's similar to Boys Scouts. Its purpose is to make them easy to have many friends from different schools, and to experience a variety of important things to live by doing outdoor activities or camping, but actually, almost all of them don't find out about it.
It's natural for them, because they are still to young to notice that. I think it's enough for them to enjoy joining it by themselves.

I was prejudiced against any volunteers before I took part in it, because I didn' t understand why people volunteer without being given money, and I'm afraid of this expression may be inappropriate, but I thought it's just a waste of time. However, I could change my mind by doing volunteerism.

At first, my friend, who belongs to the department of Education (now, she also takes classes in Spokane!) invited me to the volunteerism that she joins. I thought Boy Scouts always do good things, for example, picking cans up, talking with people who live in other regions etc, so I also thought they make a great contribution to Japan, but my expectation was easily broken into pieces. They were impertinent and selfish and noisy! They were the same to the other children who don't join it. However, after joining it, I was excited all the day, in the end, it was fantastic for me! I love children, so it doesn't matter whether they are good or not, that's why I consider that what way do encourage them to go to good course in their lives.
